1958    born in Augsburg, Germany
1979   graduated from secondary school with an Abitur diploma
1983   passed the final examination to conclude his silversmith apprenticeship,
    since then has worked freelance in his own atelier
1988   joined the Visual Artists' Association
1990   passed the examination to become a master silversmith
1991   joined the Bavarian Crafts Association, 
was a member of its executive committee from 1994 to 1995
1994    passed the master goldsmith's examination
1995   was acknowledged as a Professional Artist by the Academy of Visual Arts in Munich

2002   held a guest lecture at the academy of Trier

1994   "Dinner for Two", first at the Museum for Nature and Urban Culture, Schwäbisch Gmünd, then at the Baden State Museum, Karlsruhe, and in Bonn

1995    "Tragbare Düfte" (Wearable Scents) exhibition, first at the Schmuck Forum Zurich, then in Geneva, Nijmegen, Bonn and Vienna

1997   prize winner for a piece presented at the international necklace competition entitled "In neuer Reihung" (New Sequences) at the Museum for Nature and Urban Culture in Schwäbisch Gmünd, continued as a touring exhibition at the Goldsmiths' House in Hanau and in Bonn
